The plant has the following features:
- total capacity cbm. 21.800 + 10.000 cbm. horizontal sheds;
- the silo is made up of five reinforced-concrete cells (capacity from cbm. 3450 to cbm. 6100);
- the cells are all varnished in conformity to ASL sanitary rules on storing and handling of goods for human and animal alimentary use
- the plant is equipped for both receiving and sending back trains; as for Customs, it is fit for the storage of both Community and extra Community items;
- loading and unloading operations take place all roof-over;
- the cells are equipped with probes detecting the product's temperature; a periodical informatic check prevents the product from altering.
- The whole silo is equipped with an air-insufflating system for the stored products' cooling to avoid the growth of parasites and moulds and to preserve goods for long periods of time with no risks of infestations. This garantees the unaltered quality of the products and enables a high saving on the costs of product handling and turn-over ;
